The Green Bay Packers opened the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by selecting outside linebacker Vince Biegel from Wisconsin with a pick obtained from the Cleveland Browns. The Vikings followed by picking defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson from Iowa. Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook will join the Jaguars.
Defensive back Tedric Thompson from Colorado was selected by the Seahawks. The Bears followed with Alabama defensive back Eddie Jackson. The Chargers hope defensive back Rayshawn Jenkins from Miami (FL) can help. The Redskins added Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine. The Cardinals continued to pass on all those quarterbacks Coach Bruce Arians said could play in the NFL and went with Pittsburgh guard Dorian Johnson. The Bengals drafted Carl Lawson, linebacker from Auburn.
The Bears took running back Tarik Cohen, a diminutive 5'6" from North Carolina A&T. The Vikings drafted Ben Gedeon, an inside linebacker from Michigan. The 49ers draft talented running back Joe Williams from Utah. The Ravens took guard Nco Siragusa from San Diego State. Montae Nicholson, a safety from Michigan State, was picked by the Redskins. The Lions took linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin from Tennessee. The Rams took Eastern Washington linebacker Samson Ebukam. The Browns drafted Howard Wilson from Houston. The Lions looked down the road and across the border into Ohio to select Toledo tight end Michael Roberts. The Bengals are going all out on offense by adding another wide receiver, Josh Malone from Tennessee.
Florida tackle David Sharpe at 6'6" and 343 pounds will try to beef up the Raiders offensive line. The Texans looked to Bucknell to select tackle Julie'n Davenport. The Patriots drafted Arkansas defensive end Deatrich Wise. San Diego State will send running back Donnel Pumphrey to the Eagles. The Cowboys drafted North Carolina wide receiver Ryan Switzer. BYU running back Jamaal Williams was picked by the Packers.
Joshua Dobbs, quarterback from Tennessee, was drafted by the Steelers. With the same pick last year (the 135th), the Cowboys selected Dak Prescott. Dobbs is considered perhaps the brighest player in the draft. The Falcons drafted guard Sean Harlow from Oregon State. The Colts take Zach Banner a 6'8" guard from USC to help protect Andrew Luck. The Bengals added defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow from Michigan.
Using a compensatory pick that had been traded three times, the Kansas City Chiefs drafted wide receiver Jehu Chesson from Michigan. The Giants picked Clemson running back Wayne Gallman. The Jets seclected California wide receiver Chad Hansen. The Texans took Clemson defensive tackle Carlos Watkins. Marion Mack, the running back from South Florida, was taken by the Colts. The Colts also took Grover Stewart, a defensive tackle from Albany State (GA) to close out the fourth round.
