2016 NFL Draft Round Two
By Chris Malumphy
The Cleveland Browns began the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by selecting defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah from Oklahoma State. The Browns eschewed a wide receiver, linebacker Myles Jack and quarterback Connor Cook to take a player fast enough to be an edge rusher who can also drop back into coverage. The Titans followed by picking Clemson defensive end Kevin Dodd. The Dallas Cowboys took Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith who is coming off an ACL injury. The San Diego Chargers picked tight end Henry Hunter from Arkansas. The Jacksonville Jaguars swapped picks with Baltimore to select a Ravens' type linebacker, Myles Jack from Oklahoma, who dropped significantly due to an injury that some suggest will limit his career severely. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Mississippi State defensive tackle Chris Jones. Defensive back Xavian Howard of Baylor was picked by the Dolphins. Clemson defensive back T.J. Green was drafted by the Colts. The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted a second defensive back in Sean Davis from Maryland.
Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a pick obtained from the Kansas City Chiefs.
