2019 NFL Draft Second Round—QB Josh Rosen Traded

With the first pick of the 2nd Round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected cornerback Byron Murphy from Washington. The Colts followed suit with another corner, Rock Ya-Sin from Temple. The Jacksonville Jaguars traded with the Oakland Raiders to move up and grab Florida tackle Jawaan Taylor. South Carolina wide receiver Deebo Samuel becomes a new target for Jimmy Garappolo and the San Francisco 49ers. The Carolina Panthers obtained the 37th pick from the Seattle Seahawks and drafted Mississippi tackle Greg Little. With a pick traded twice during the second round, the Buffalo Bills drafted Oklahoma tackle Cody Ford. Sean Bunting, Central Michigan cornerback, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Raiders used a pick obtained from the Bills to draft Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen. The Denver Broncos had a second chance to draft quarterback Drew Lock but passed again to select Kansas State offensive lineman Dalton Risner who could play guard or center. The Broncos then traded with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 42st pick and selected Lock from Missouri to challenge Joe Flacco. The Detroit Lions picked linebacker Jahlani Tavai from Hawaii. Mississippi State guard Elgton Jenkins was taken by the Green Bay Packers.
The Rams kept pushing their first pick further back by trading with New England and the Patriots selected Vanderbilt cornerback Joejuan Williams. LSU cornerback Greedy Williams will lineup with the Browns following a trade between Cleveland and Indianapolis. The Seattle Seahawks drafted safety Marquise Blair from Utah. Offensive lineman Erik McCoy was drafted by the New Orleans Saints from Texas A & M. The Colts drafted Ben Banogu, a TCU edge rusher. The Minnesota Vikings bagged Alabama tight end Irv Smith Jr. The Tennessee Titans took Mississippi wide receiver A.J. Brown. Washington tight end Drew Sample was drafted by the Bengals. The Philadelphia Eagles Miles Sanders a running back from Penn State. Kentucky cornerback Lonnie Johnson was taken by the Houston Texans. The Texans followed that pick by selecting Northern Illinois tackle Max Scharping.
The Kansas City moved up to take their first pick in the draft in an attempt to replace the troubled Tyreek Hill by selecting Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Stanford wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside will play for the Philadelphia Eagles. With their first pick in the draft, the Dallas Cowboys picked Central Florida defensive lineman Trysten Hill. The Indianapolis Colts took LeBron Jame's former high-school teammate Parris Campbell, a wide receiver from Ohio State. The San Diego Chargers selected Delaware safety Nasir Adderley, a distant relative to former Green Bay Packer and Dallas Cowboy great Herb Adderley. With their first selection in the draft, the Los Angeles Rams picked Washington defensive back Taylor Rapp.
Following that pick, it was announced that the Miami Dolphins traded with the Arizona Cardinals to obtain quarterback Josh Rosen, the tenth player selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Cardinals drafted speedster Andy Isabella a wide receiver from Massachusetts. The Chiefs then grabbed Virginia safety Juan Thornhill.
With the final pick in the 2nd round, the Seattle Seahawks picked ripped wide-receiver D.K. Metcalf from Mississippi with a draft choice obtained from the New England Patriots
