2022 NFL Draft Second Round

With the first pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected versatile defensive lineman Logan Hall from Houston. Following an inter-divisional trade with the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers drafted Christian Watson, a wide receiver from North Dakota State. Cornerback Roger McCreary from Auburn was picked by the Tennessee Titans. The New York Jets traded to obtain a pick from the New York Giants and selected Iowa State running back Breece Hall, the first running back drafted in 2022. The Houston Texans selected safety Jalen Pitre from Baylor. The Atlanta Falcons traded up, then passed up a quarterback by selecting Arnold Ebikete, a linebacker from Penn State. Washington cornerback Kyler Gordon will join the Chicago Bears. Owning two picks in a row, the Seattle Seahawks eschewed a needed quarterback and picked linebacker Boye Mafe from Minnesota and running back Kenneth Walker from Michigan State. Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth was selected by the Minnesota Vikings. The New York Giants picked Kentucky wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson.

Alabama wide receiver John Metchie was picked by the Houston Texans. The Baltimore Ravens drafted David Ojabo, linebacker from Michigan, who tore his achilles tendon during his pro day. Ojabo moves on from being coached by Jim Harbaugh in Michigan to John Harbaugh in Baltimore. The Detroit Lions picked defensive end Josh Paschal from Kentucky. The Washington Commanders picked Alabama defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis. Defensive safety Jaquan Brisker from Penn State joins the Chicago Bears. Alontae Taylor, cornerback from Tennessee, was picked by the New Orleans Saints. The New England Patriots drafted Baylor wide receiver Tyquan Thornton. Nebraska center Cam Jurgens was drafted by the Phildelphia Eagles. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected George Pickens, wide receiver from Georgia. The Indianapolis Colts added wide receiver Alec Pierce from Cincinnati. Wide receiver Skyy Moore from Western Michigan was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Arizona Cardinals continue to add targets for quarterback Kyler Murray by drafting tight end Trey McBride from Colorado State. Mississippi edge Sam Williams was picked by the Dallas Cowboys. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected guard Luke Goedeke from Central Michigan. The Atlanta Falcons drafted linebacker Troy Anderson from Montana. Ed Ingram, a guard from LSU, was picked by the Vikings. Nebraska cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals. The San Francisco 49ers went downstate to draft USC linebacker Drake Jackson. Cincinnati safety Bryan Cook was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Buffalo Bills drafted Georgia running back James Cook, brother of Vikings back Dalvin Cook. The Denver Broncos picked Oklahoma linebacker Nik Bonitto.
